Envisioning respectful, peaceful communities cherishing a healthy environment
MAY 28th 7:30PM MT Last summer, DNA’s Nuclear Abolitionist Book Study Group focused on books related to uranium mining and how it affects predominately Indigenous frontline communities, and strategies for resisting current mining projects. In September, we read chapters 3, 8, 13, and 14 of “No Spiritual Surrender: Indigenous Anarchy in Defense of the Sacred” by the late Klee Benally. We will be spending this Spring making our way through the rest of his book for anyone who is interested! This series will be very informal-we will be reading 3-4 chapters every month, and we just ask that everyone comes with one thing to discuss with the group! This month, we will be reading chapters 9, 10, 11, and 12 of “No Spiritual Surrender: Indigenous Anarchy in Defense of the Sacred”. Come with at least one question or comment. Have any updates on current uranium mining resistance/action items? There will be time at the end of each session to let attendees know! 🚫☢️ (MESSAGE US IFYOU NEED ACCESS TO THESE CHAPTERS) ...
