Multicultural Alliance for a Safe Environment (MASE) Seeks Environmental Justice Coordinator
December 15, 2024 – New Mexico – The Multicultural Alliance for a Safe Environment (MASE), a coalition dedicated to advancing environmental justice in uranium-impacted communities, has announced a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the position of Environmental Justice Coordinator. This role represents a unique opportunity to collaborate with MASE member groups, and local communities, to hold federal and state agencies accountable in order to promote justice and equity in some of the most environmentally impacted areas of the southwestern United States.
About the Position
The Environmental Justice Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting uranium-impacted communities located on federal trust Indian lands. Responsibilities include leading community outreach efforts, advocating for sustainable policies, and coordinating MASE’s environmental justice initiatives.

- Location: New Mexico (Remote/Hybrid options available, with travel required)

Who Should Apply
MASE encourages proposals from individuals or organizations with experience in environmental justice, community organizing, or working with tribal governments. Familiarity with Navajo and Pueblo cultures and an understanding of cross-cultural dynamics is strongly preferred.
