Call to Action from MULTICULTURAL ALLIANCE FOR A SAFE ENVIRONMENT (MASE): Sen. Thornton’s Bill SB 78: Nuclear Energy as Renewable Energy would reclassify nuclear energy as a form of renewable energy therefore allowing it to be eligible for state programs for renewables. This bill will be heard in Senate conservation committee on Saturday (2-7) at 9am (room 311). It would be helpful for people to email the members of the committee and let them know you oppose this. A fact sheet you can send them is below.
